The name of a very interesting exhibition currently on display in the Bishop Erazm Ciołek Palace, a divison of the National Museum in Krakow is “Numismatic Rarities from the Collection of the National Museum in Krakow.” In the exhibition visitors can see really old coins and medals dating back to the 10th and 11th century. Just read this small quote from the official press release: “Priceless coins and medals in the collections of the National Museum in Krakow. A denar dating from the late 10th/early 11th century and bearing the head of Bolesław I the Brave, a 14th century Krakow grosz stamped with the image of King Kazimierz III the Great and medals imprinted with the portraits of the royal Jagellonians.”
If you feel like checking out this exhibtion, then you need to visit the place before December 2nd, 2012 – as that will be the last day of this exhibition. While in Krakow, why not enjoy a private guided tour, some good food in a restaurant and of course a walking trip to the Wavel Castle… beautiful!
