Currency in Poland

Even though Poland is a member of the European Union and has been so since May 1st 2004, they are still not using the Euro. More and more restaurants accept Euro as payment, but they will give you the change in Polish Zloty.

There are several ways to get hold of the Polish Zloty, but the best way is probably by using one out of many ATMs located around in Krakow. If you have brought other currency you can always use one of the many changing places around in town, but a piece of good advice is to check out with several before you change, just to end up with the best one!

Changing money at the airport is never smart!
