On the 11th of November, a short while before the opening of the annual Christmas markets in Krakow, Andrea Bocelli will perform in Tauron Arena.

If we had to choose between an Andrea Bocelli concert and the Christmas markets in Krakow, then we would have a big challenge ahead. Andrea Bocelli is a fabulous singer, and he has magic in his voice. Listening to him will thus bring a beautiful feeling of Christmas to the soul, no matter what time of the your you listen to him. But, the Christmas markets in Krakow are magical as well, and they do not last for only 1 1/2 hour, but for about one month. You can walk around and discover the city, and then whenever you feel like, you can visit the Christmas market at the Main Market square and have a good time there.

But, why do you have to choose? Why not visit Krakow for the Andrea Bocelli concert on Saturday the 11th of November, and then return again in the start of December and enjoy the Christmas markets in Krakow as well?

UEFA U21 Championship in Krakow

Soon it will be time for the UEFA U21 Championship to be played in Krakow. One of the venues that will be used is the Cracovii Stadium where group C will play there matches, and in addition the city will host one of the semi-finals and the big final.

There will be a total of 12 teams participating in the tournament. Here are the groups:

Group A

  • Poland
  • Slovakia
  • Sweden
  • England

Group B

  • Portugal
  • Serbia
  • Spain
  • Macedonia

Group C

  • Germany
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Italy

Since Group C will play their matches in Krakow, you will be able to follow Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark and Italy in Krakow. In addition on semi-final and the grand final will be played at Stadium Cracovii in Krakow. The tournament will start on June 16th and the final will be played at 20.45 in Krakow on June 30th.

We have a fantastic summer coming up, not only with brilliant weather, but with lots of fantastic concerts and events in Krakow. Here is a short article summing up the most important events.

We have already written about a couple of upcoming concerts and events here in our Krakow Guide, but in this article we will try to list up as many events as possible. If you see something you like here, then you can visit Viagogo to find tickets for the different events listed right here.

Highlights in Krakow Summer of 2017

events in Krakow summer 2017Coming up in only a few days from now is the Andre Rieu concert in Krakow. Music lovers will find this concert to be a treat, but they do not have to wait for a long time for the next highlight. Two days later (at May 27th) Bruno Mars will perform in Krakow. Bryan Ferry will also perform in Krakow on May 28th, and on the second day of June it is time for an Aerosmith concert in Krakow. Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic event as well?

As June moves on it will be time for the IMPACT Festival in Krakow. There will come loads of artists for this event, for example Linkin Park and System of a Down.  Besides these it will be time for a Suzanne Vega concert, and then football fans will for sure be happy about the Under 21 European Championship in football. The final in that tournament wil be played at Krakow Arena on June 30th.

In July Krakow will be visited by Jean Michel Jarre and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In August the Volleyball European Championship will be arranged in Krakow, and we should also mention that this autumn Krakow will be visited by David Garrett, Andrea Bocelli, The Rasmus and Disney on Ice. And guess what, in 2018 both The Kelly Family and Metallica will come to Krakow!
