Metallica in Warsaw

The Sonisphere Festival is the event of the year in Warsaw, Poland, and this year Metallica will be one of the bands arriving to this amazing event. Not only Metallica will come, but also Machine Heads and Gojira will come to the festival where you are invited to join in. Come listen to Metallica, the band from Los Angeles, formed in 1981, sold more than 50,000,000 albums in the US alone, and now planning the release of a new album. This will be great. Google Street View in Krakow

If you would like to visit Krakow and see the most famous attractions and sights, without really visiting Krakow, Google has just launched something to help you. Google Street View can now be seen and used in Krakow, together with other important Polish cities. The reason why they have launched this now, is the European Championship in football, so the cities where matches will be played, can now be visited with Google Street View. Among the other cities also featured are Warsaw, Krakow, Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Lublin, Białystok, Gdynia, Gniezno.

If you are interested in checking it out yourself, visit Google Street View.

It is of course nice to visit Krakow using street view, but if you want the real feeling, you need to come to Krakow yourself. Only then can you enjoy all the wonderful activities, excursions and similar programs in Krakow. There is a river in Krakow as well, but for a real river cruise, we would rather recommend Budapest or Prague. But, the Jewish quarter of Krakow is amazing, so you must for sure take a walk there and at least spend half a day in that area.

Coldplay Warsaw

The legendary band Coldplay will be traveling across Europe in 2012, and one of the stops on this European tour is Warsaw. They are unfortunately not coming to Krakow itself, but that does not surprise us to much. But, we are very pleased that Coldplay at least will visit Poland, so we will all pack our cars with people and luggage, and travel to Warsaw on September 19th to the concert starting at 16.00.

Coldplay was formed in 1996 and consists of four band members. In 2011 their newest album Xylo Myloto was released, and it topped the lists of sold albums in all of Europe at once. As they come to Warsaw in 2012 the concert will be arranged at the National Stadium so it will be packed with people who are ready to rock’n roll together with Coldplay.

If you are looking for a nice activity while in Krakow/Warsaw, why not go on a guided tour? From Krakow to Warsaw:
If you are planing on traveling from Krakow to Warsaw, that can easily be done with car. The distance is exactly 300 kilometres and though it does not sound like a long distance, you should plan to use more than 4 hours, due to the bad roads on which you have to make the travel. But, still it can easy be made a day trip to Warsaw on September 19, and then you eat some nice food in Warsaw, check some attractions, go to the Coldplay concert, and then in the night you get back into the car and let the ones with most energy drive the car back to Krakow again. That could be a beautiful day you will remember for a long time.

Madonna Warsaw 2012

Unfortunately Madonna will not come to Krakow in 2012, but she will come to Warsaw, so we still have a chance to see her as she sings and dances at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The concert will be held at the first day of August, so why not start out one of the best months of the year with a Madonna concert in Poland? The National Stadium will for sure be packed as Madonna enters the stage, so if you want tickets you better order your Madonna tickets as soon as possible. Do not miss out on this as Madonna comes to Poland to be there at what will probably be the concert of the year in Poland in 2012.

Unfinished Conversations in Krakow

An exhibition named “Unfinished Conversations – On Jan Matejko’s Rejtan” will be available from Valentines Day in 2012 in the National Museum of Krakow, in Sukiennice at the Main Market Square. This exhibition will be available from February 14th until May 27th.
